Banquet of Love - The Eucharist as Weekly Marriage Enrichment Online Classes: From Grace & Truth LLC in partnership with the Family Life Office

The U.S. bishops have inaugurated a 3-year National Eucharistic Revival. There are numerous connections to be made between the sacrament of marriage, the domestic church, and the Eucharist. 

To shine a light on these connections, a free online resource for married couples in the Diocese of Salt Lake City will be available through December 2024 that will transform your marriage through the power of the Eucharist.

What is this resource for married couples?

The Banquet of Love began as a weekend retreat workbook, and has been converted into online sessions. Couples or groups of couples can register online to get access to these online classes. Each video will be approximately 15-20mins. long and will be accompanied by downloadable Reflection Questions.

It is recommended that groups gather at their parish or in homes to complete the sessions together with a facilitator, as well as to share in fellowship.

Meet Jim and Maureen Otremba - Founders and Creators of Banquet of Love, The Eucharist as Weekly Marriage Enrichment

Jim and Maureen Otremba

Jim and Maureen Otremba have been married for 27 years and are members of Sacred Heart Parish in Sauk Rapids, MN. Jim is a licensed therapist and owner of the Center for Family Counseling in St. Cloud, MN, where he has over 25 years’ experience working with married couples and individuals. Maureen has an extensive background in teaching, writing, faith formation, and pastoral ministry. Both hold advanced degrees in theology. They are primary authors of Fully Engaged: Growing Toward Lasting Fidelity, a Catholic premarital inventory and marriage preparation program, which is used in dozens of dioceses and over 800 individual parishes. 

Jim and Maureen have been frequent speakers for events, workshops, and retreats and use high energy, humor, and their combined expertise in counseling and education to move their audiences toward healing and joy. They have appeared on EWTN, and Jim has been a  regular guest on Relevant Radio’s Morning Air show. They are parents of seven heavenly children and three young  children on earth and know the joys and challenges of special-needs parenting.
